I've been kinda bummed lately, just about life in general and where mine is going and what my goals are and stuff along those lines. But I have this friend who I'm crazy about and we've been messaging each other everyday. This isn't some funky internet relationship by the way, we spend 8 months of the year together at school, but she lives far away so in the summer I can't see her especially since I work full time. So it's funny, everytime I get a message from her, I light up, even if I was just totally bummed about something. Now I don't know if I actually love her, cause well I don't think I've ever been in love before so I can't say.
But onto the actual subject, it seems funny that so many of us seek this thing and never find it or lose it so quickly. We often mistake it for other things like lust/passion or rush it in its infancy, when these kinda things really need time to grow. I think it's absolutely true what they say that friends make the best lovers, because love really is a friendship isn't it. I mean so many people think intimacy is the most important part but is it really. Well I guess that depends on what type of intimacy your talking about. Most people use physical intimacy as grounds for being in love, but honestly just because the van's gone a shakin' doesn't mean that love's come a knockin' . I came up with that just now, not too bad eh. So emotional intimacy I guess is the most important thing and there are so many other things to talk about, it's really a huge topic. Trust, compatibility, personalities, intimacy and timing. All are important factors I guess. All that I can say is that cars will break down, mansions will lose land value, sexy bodies will sag and be uglified ( not a real word, but if enought people start using it then maybe one day) and money only digs a larger void in your life to fill. Love is the one thing that can put a smile on your face and make you feel priceless. Because "Love is All you Need"
Song of the day:
HIM or Chris Isaak - Wicked Game
(both versions are absolutely great, listen to both for sure)
